Louise Robertson, eMR Director SSWAHS.
Biography
Louise is a qualified Health Information Manager with a degree in Health Information Management from Sydney University. She has over 28 years experience as a health information manager in the NSW Public Health sector, 20 years of which she has been involved in IM&T to varying degrees.
Louise spent the first 8 years of her career working in different positions in Medical Record Departments and obtained her first in depth exposure to health IT systems when she worked for 2 years in the Information Systems Department in the South Eastern Sydney Area Health Service implementing HOSPAS (NSW state legacy PAS system).
Louise then worked for 12 years in the role of Manager, Patient Information Services at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital where she took a lead role in representing health information management issues in the AHS and was part of the team that recommended Cerner as the vendor for the CSAHS electronic medical record. In 2000 Louise was appointed as Director, EMR to head up the newly formed EMR team in the Information Management and Technology Division, a position which she still holds in SSWAHS.
